| Using Coffin OS, some demos do not appear to launch. I receive a 'Unknown data type" error when I attempt to launch the .exe file. Anyone else run into this before? Thanks

Can you maybe give a little more info? Which Coffin version do you speak about? Which Demo/Which file in question?

| Of Course! Sorry Gunnar! Coffin r58 These demos are so far displaying "Unknown data type" when I attempt to run them. Thanks 1. Elude - Rise and Shine 2. Elude - Beneath 3. Elude - Futuricon 4. Elude - Coremalfunction

Hmm, I have no idea how they ended up on Coffin, but these are all PC DOS/Windows demos. Only one of them - "Rise and Shine" was released both on PC DOS/Windows and ported to Amiga, but I'm pretty certain you are trying to run PC one. Here's the Amiga version EXTERNAL LINK

| You are correct, I had downloaded the PC version and not the Amiga version. The assistance on this forum is invaluable! Thanks guys.

| The sign here is it's an exe which wouldn't be correct for AmigaOS :)

Not quite true. Some Amiga demo's have an .exe extension for the main executable, probably mainly to help identify that as the file to run. A couple that come to mind are "Metropolice" and "Kioea".

| I'd say 90% of Amiga demos use "exe" extenstion to indicate which file to click/type. Since AmigaOS can have any extension for executable, that's just plain convenience.
