| I'd be more excited if I had my V4 -- but yes, definitely good news.

| I've never used AmiKit at all, but I'm as excited as all heck. It's awesome to see a major product such as AmiKit support the Vampire.

| I've never used it either, but the more the Vampire is supported the better it becomes; Great news!

| I'd imagine that it'll probably ask for your amiga workbench disks at install time so that it uses your own licensed OS files, so it won't be a full on copy of previously owned IP. that's how it got round licensing issues before - being a workbench distribution, without containing the "workbench" part.

| I’m glad I’m not the only one. I like AROS and it’s making great progress. I never liked coffin to be honest, but it’s great for a quick test. I do love the work that went into AmiKit. I already modified it myself in the past to run on my 500 V2, so I’m very curious to see what further optimizations were done. I’m still waiting for the V4 and I can’t wait to try the official AmiKit and AROS/ApolloOS on it.

Amikit though does not have the highly dubious legal nature of coffinOS

In my opinion, the real problem is that Hyperion and Cloanto are both dubious. Therefore with the current situation any solution using a product of them does inherited this dubiousity - including Amikit.Amikit is a nice product but it is not solving the main legal problem.

| Very happy to see Amikit coming to the Vampire. Ive been using Amikit on my PC for a good while. That said; It would be great if Jan would transition to AROS, due to the noise regarding AOS. But I will defintly support Amikits effort by purchasing it.
