My dream expansion for the Vampire looks like this - RJ45 ETHERNET plug - USB - RTC All on one card. We are right now discussing the possibility of production of the above EXPANSION with a well known HW developer.

Even more the software to be useful under AmigaOS. Got Prism2 card and OS4 and man, you text write the WiFi net settings and there is no connection indicator or signal strenght ;-) Under Linux its all out of box and dandy :-) Wi-Fi Card itself is 10x lower max bandwith then built in Gigabit Ethernet onboard (that does not have a working OS4 driver either).

| But GOLD 2.7 works and is in Color for you? If YES then Gold 2.8 will also work for you.

Gunnar, I haven't upgraded to 2.7 yet because I am waiting for my USB Blaster to arrive. I figured it was better to wait for it and still be able to use the amiga than have the install fail and have no Amiga for a month. Yes, even in Australia with Asia close by it usually takes a month for parcels to be delivered. So I am not yet sure it works but I will upgrade as soon as the USB blaster arrives. I hope it will be in colour. All the best with 2.8 Cheers from Oz

As far as future expansion it would be nice to have some type of expansion edge connector so that an entire add-on board of about the same size 120mmX100mm could be attached with new components. That way 3rd parties could start manufacturing and selling boards with newer components that would just need new drivers to be useful.Great work so far!

| @Michael R The V4 has 3 I/O headers (expansion slots) compared to the 1 on the V2+. That should be enough. :)

Theoretically it should be possible as the SDNet works via SPI like the expansion headers on A500V2+. Someone with more technical insight like Thomas Richter could confirm that.

| I got a Vampire 600 V2 earlier this month. It is still the first version of Kipper. I did the recommended fixes. The card was not yet registered. I did the registration afterwards. Now the card runs with a 2.9-X12 core. Unfortunately in black/white.When will the registration be considered? Thank you in advance for any information. Regards HH
