The Gamepad (The A500 Mini)

Did anyone successfully get The Gamepad (intended for The A500 Mini) working on the Vampire standalone ?
It looks really cool, and have USB connection (thus can be connected to VSA), but I can get it to work. Hope there is a way to do that.

From a test of an user on YouTube the gamepad lacks diagonals.
