Well an Amiga game typically is coded for 50 FPS. The type for render one frame is 20 millisecond. If a game needs longer than 20 Millisecond than normally FPS would degrade - but the game should still play the same speed. Little more jerky - but without slowdown. Only really bad coded games will have a slowdown. Lets assume you have a bad coded game and that needs 35 ms per frame. Then this will result in rounded up 40ms per update = halve speed. If you have a little faster CPU... that brings this down to lets say 25 millisecond = than the CPU is faster but rounded up this is still 40 milliesecond = halve speed. You need a significant faster CPU to bring this down to less than 20 millisecond to "feel" a difference. David Suter wrote:

V4 is very fast. The Apollo 68080 is like 300 times faster than your A500 was.
