| After using my PCMCIA Wireless adapter for the past years or so, I decided to try the Ethernet module port on my Vampire 1200 V2. Having used the port on my Vampire 500 V2+, I was hoping to see the same or even better speeds. Currently the PCMCIA Adapter gets about 400 Kb/s. My Vampire 500 V2 clocks in around 4,000 Kb/s. I was sadly disappointed when my Vampire 1200 V2 appears not to like the wired side of things. The issue is, one of my confirmed ethernet modules do not work at all and the 3 mini ENC-28J60 work poorly, very slow speeds around 35 Kb/s. All of the modules/cables I tested work fine on the 500 V2+. The drivers are the same and both are using Roadshow (1.14), GOLD 2.15 and coffinOS r54. Any thoughts? Allan V.

| Hi Allan. I have a V1200 and said ethernet module and I am getting speeds of about 473KB/sec download and 579KB/sec upload according to AmiSpeedTest. That is KiloBytes (KB). So it can work. I'm not sure if its your modules you are using, your connection, or something else. I am using Core 2.13 x12 on my Vampire 1200. Sorry I couldn't be of more help, but at least you know it can work... | Hi, I am using the ENC-28J60, As I said before, it works fine on the 500 V2+, just not the greatest on the 1200 V2 for reasons unkown. I'll try the 2.13 core and see if that helps. I'll let you know the results :)

| Little luck with 2.13 RC3 core. Same results. It's not the end of the World. The card works fine otherwise and the wired/wireless PCMCIA Network Cards work great, more than enough for my local File Transfers and Internet related needs.

The speed should be the same. It is the same port at the end of the day. But you should expect around 300-500 KBytes/s.

You also need to set the configuration correctly. Check the configuration file in ENVARC:SANAII/v2expeth. It might be that on the A500 you have IRQ enabled and a higher priority. On the A1200 you might have polling and a lower priority. Even so, 35 KBytes/s is very slow. I would double check your configuration and make sure you have the matching driver for your core. Let us know if you can't get any further or hit us up on Discord and we can check the setup together.

| Thanks for the Reply. I am currently away from home and should be back around the middle of March. I will send my Configuration and driver versions at that time on Discord.
