| Has anyone tried using Bluetooth speakers with the Vampire standalone? Would they work out of the box? Which speakers type are recommended?

| The V4SA doesn't come with Bluetooth, so I have no idea if that's feasible.

| I was referring to Bluetooth speakers with a USB dongle.

| Would require a working USB stack and not entirely sure even with that sound output through USB would be feasible. best bet would be H.D.M.I. Audio Extractor and a bluetooth audio transmitter that can transmit optical or regular analog audio depending on the H.D.M.I. audio extractor you buy.

| There are common audio jack to USB adapters on the market, maybe you can make it work with one of them?

The usb ports on the V4sa do not have a stack they are single purpose ports.

Audio is via DIGITAL-VIDEO only. so: a) TV Speakers, the better one :) b) Use DIGITAL-VIDEO Audio splitter and redirect to any sound you can, I would recommend old school Sony Hi Fi and some very nice e.g. ESPRIT series stereo speakers and a seperate bass driver - known as subwoofer. In my book, nothing can compare to it. 99% Modern computer and phone speakers (and even modern mini hi fi lines and 5.1. speaker systems) are merely small amps and small toy speakers for cheap money and mediocre sound, nothing to do with definition of high fidelity sound joy. But that is just me. If you are such a Bluetooth lovers, there are such toys as Sound Blaster X7 that can do redirection to Bluetooth. If I would choose Bluetooth speakers to run good (dub and reggae :) sound to - that would be something like JBL Partybox 100-300 (where 300 is rare Bluetooth speaker with subwoofer integrated :) However, any sound (source and speaker system) you enjoy - is good enough. Oh, yes, DIGITAL-VIDEO Audio splitter EXTERNAL LINK EXTERNAL LINK

| According to the wiki at https://wiki.apollo-accelerators.com/doku.php/vampire:vsa-v4:peripherals you can add an I2S PCM5102A DAC module to IO header 1 for analogue audio. I don't know if/how that works in terms of setup though.

| The PCM5102A works perfectly at least with the core 7383 which is the one I am using. V4SA Header 1 (P20): Pin 6 LCK Pin 8 BCK Pin 10 DATA Apart from the power supply 5V or 3.3V depending on the board. My board works at 3.3V and I had to add a regulator.

| I can post some pictures but I doubt you can see anything. I have the V4SA mounted on an A500 case and you will only see a bunch of cables and connectors. I don’ t know how to post images here and I will post them on Discord when I have some time.

You would need to upload them elsewhere on Internet and post links here. If you insert a full http link of picture in text here, it will be automatically displayed
