| Hoping somebody can see what I'm doing wrong here. Bought an Amiga 600 with a Vampire V2 card on board. The Miggy is powered by a newly bought power supply from a well known Spanish Amiga store(can't rate the highly enough, very good service) But I digress. So I unpacked the Amiga, opened it up to install the Vampire. Booted the machine and everything looks in order. Amiga power and floppy light up, the Vampire powers on and the red ACCT light starts as well. But the problem is I'm not getting any digital video output. I've tried a truckload of cables, two monitors and even tried hooking up the Amiga to my oled tv(now there's something I'm looking forward to once I get it all working!) Unfortunately I've not got any composite capable monitors available, so I can't see if there's any native Amiga output at the moment. So am I missing something here? Looking to borrow some iso from a friend tomorrow to clean the contacts on the socket, but other than that I'm kind lost on options here?

| The A600, by default, on the standard cores, doesn't do digital video out for the standard Amiga video modes. Just RTG. Which means you need a standard RGB etc cable to play most games. RTG requires a driver, and will only give digital out for the Workbench desktop, and RTG games/programs.

So, this wasn't changed in later cores? This particular one is running core 2.12 if I'm correct. And if I create a compact flash with the saga driver I should be able to get digital video output, right?

| The Gold 2.12 core is the latest. This is the default behavior for the Vampire V2. If the program requires the on board chipset (OCS/ECS) it will output via the RGB, if it's RTG it's going out the H.D.M.I A lot of people are getting their hopes up for what is called the Gold 3 core that will allow the AGA/OCS/ECS to output of the H.D.M.I, but if and when that comes out, it's not going to be for a while. Also there are some drawbacks to implementing such a core, it requires disabling or rerouting most of the onboard components. like floppy drive, and perhaps other things may not function anymore...

| All clear! Thanks for the info. In that case I'll just get the AmigaRGB-VGA converter and use that to connect the Amiga to my regular monitor. That way I'll be able to run everything through the same display port without everything switching around between inputs. Next step, prepping the compact flash :-)
