| I've got a solution for the Audio over the "Digital-Video" cable. You can purchase a rather inexpensive audio injector device. There's a catch, some of these require the audio to be present in the stream. Most likely, you'll need the one that can insert audio stream into the stream that doesn't have existing audio channel in the stream. Unfortunately, I can't give you the model name of the one that works.
I've not tried it on my Vampire yet, but for sure I know that Monoprice branded one doesn't work with my ZZ9000.
