| All I did was obtain the Frontier floppy disk version and dumped the files to a folder on my Amiga CF drive. I just ran it from the folder and it was super smooth. I believe the WHDLoad version of Frontier has lower frame rates for some reason. You could try the Cache tootype in the WHDLoad version to see if it improves it or run it in NTSC. I haven't tried it at all.

| You can connect to modern PC/Mac too, using either a usb-rs232/serial interface and a null-modem cable, or wirelessly, using a rs232/bluetooth adapter on the Amiga, provided the PC/Mac has bluetooth capabilities. I prefer the latter, less clutter and less chance for frying the Amiga :p With Vampire though, it’s easer to use SDnet, if networking is what you want.
