| I think there should be law which require to share sources of abandoned software after some time... E.g. 15 years after release last version. Then we will have tons of games which we could tune to current standards. There are games as Gunship 2000, Stunt Car Racer, Skid Marks and C&C among others which could be tuned and be good games even today... Oh! It seems that C&C is probably not abandoned yet - they release last game of the series in 2012...

| Some of the PC versions of Command & Conquer have been released as free downloads by EA. Also there is an SDL version of C&C for the Amiga - its a bit of a pig to set up - but I plan on giving it a go =) Also there are a ton of RTG Amiga games that need a thrashing too =)

| I've spent a few hours on the SDl version of c&c to no avail , I did get a menu once but never since... You just need 2 files from the original as I recall I'm just setting up a cd on the 600 to get some of the big RTG games running , could be a weekend job..

| only just got it running , its easy but a pain unless you realise you have to set every screen mode before beginning... but yes C&C Simcity UFO and Wing will all be coming...It seems to emulate a 386 / slow 486 quite well so sims and strategy would be better than action games i think I also have the master system em running and i think the megadrive but I'm not sure , it was a week or two ago...

| If we can get UFO running, then X-COM - Terror From the Deep should run well too, since they share the same engine :)

| I've been experimenting on and off today and here are a few games I've tried.. Sim city - good Wasteland - good Apb - good , some audio (beeper) slow down Links386 - crash / graphics corruption Turbo - crash / won't load Copied over but not tried yet Jagged alliance Ufo NASCAR Verdict so far ? Again fast 386 or slow 486 speed. Audio seems to be beeper only but strangely enough tomb raider works ...

I'm sure pctask could be refined but that's not for me.. So the fastest emulation is of course Mac as its 68000 anyway or the ST |

| Back to Macintosh emulation for Duke3D Atomic edition - slow disk access on the Amiga makes game play jerky , hopefully this will be sorted once the game files are copied on to the vampire SD. mike EXTERNAL LINK
