Should provide this soon

2 point to fix:
- Thing desktop update
- Mouse wheel fix in Emutos

Do you plan to have Developments tools in there like, Devpac, Vasm, PureC…?

GCC will be slow, never user use Devpac and Vasm so perhaps not the best one to do this, PureC why not even it is not free software but more an abandon software! Unix env is possible already do this

Can someone explain to me why AtariOS always looked like a serious OS? This look like Linux or a software you run in a company or even a call center company. Why does Atari OS look serious and professional? Was Atari target it as a business machine like Windows 3.1, windows 95, etc?

Yeah, I was right. Atari was more targeting business platform. It makes sense. I would have used this OS in retail stores, stores, telemarketing company where a software uses a telecommunication program to call cx for survey, etc. I would have used this OS in schools for teaching students keyboard typing, etc.

When AmigaOS boost it's OS it screams Amiga.

When Atari boost it's OS just like the one BigGun posted right here as an OP, it screams Linux.

While there is probably some sort of GEM skin for Gnome or KDE, I cant say in all my >2 decades of using linux - ive ever come across it. GEM looks more like vintage MacOS than linux to me.

In the early noughties a company called Rocklyte built its own language for building desktops called DML. It enabled them to produce very accurate versions of Wintel / Amiga / BeOS desktops that could run on Linux. The trouble really was that they were kind od standalone and didnt integrate very well into the underlying system.

Oh I think it is more technical issue than anything else. Color icon in AES is very limited and the most simple way to have color icon is to put it in a RSC file and include it in RSC file is not simple and need special RSC file editor that are limited to the format of RSC file, and if you want a lot of color icon you have to put it in this file so quickly grow. Just my point of view.

Are there any news about such a "ready to use" CF card image?

Today we have enabled the native ATAIR ST video chipset register and audio register of the Yamaha chip.

This will help playing native ATARI ST games

We have added more Atari ST hardware compatibility...
and please have a look at Rick Dangerous...
The original Atari ST game is running natively on the V4SA.

I would love to see instructions on how to set this up; from scratch, written like if you were addressing a 5 years old, or a golden retriever; because that's my level of expertise with the V4SA.
