Its no longer used with CORE3 .. all those functions are transferred to the FPGA implementation of the custom chips.

| Just a quick question.... In the initial post it was written that the V4 will be able to be installed into an Amiga 1000. Is the original piggy back NTSC Model included in this?thanks, greets, Michael

| For standalone board why not make a deal with Philippe Lang and sell it in this vampire branded case/keycaps? EXTERNAL LINK

Fairly good idea, but still would require getting an original A1200 keyboard and something to convert the connector to that the standalone can use. Maybe the actual mechanical part of the keyboard will be the next unannounced product Phillippe Lang will be doing.

| Yes, a joint effort is necessary, but this would be the very best case for the standalone vampire (and is already branded)

| What about the power supply for the standalone? A normal mobile phone charger will be enough or something different will be necessary?

| I still wanna know if the V4 A1200 version will be connected to the normal accelerator card slot, or connect directly onto the cpu or whatever, like the V600. And also if it will work with the Mediator

It is not possible to connect anything directly to the CPU in the 1200 as it is not PLCC like the CPU in the 600. All the signals are present in the expansion slot so it makes sense that the V1200 will be located there.

| Correct, it is a CPU slot as opposed to a Zorro slot. With an adaptor you can get a Zorro slot/busboard out of it if desired. The A500 has a Zorro slot and a CPU slot (the ACA uses this, V500 connects on top of the CPU). I believe A600 just has a Zorro slot, but has exposed CPU legs.

| Isn't there a problem locating those connectors in bulk? (I forget if its the A1200 or A3000/4000 CPU connectors that are hard to source now) ..

It's the A1200 channel Z connector. The original manufacturer of those, stopped making them a very long time ago. Unfortunately, Commodore were stupid and didn't want a standard solution for their A1200 accelerators. Or they could have gone with Pci connectors, since they didn't really need all the pins on the Channel Z edge connector anyway

| @Gunnar Any more news about the Kippa A600 adapter that's required for the V4 as mentioned in the reveal PDF please? Failing that, can you confirm that more A600 V2's will be produced if no adapter is made available? Thank You
