Registration is open since 12 month. What core version do you use on the Vamp? |
I've registered both cards today. It was the first time that I have installed the cards. I don't know which core version I have. They are a little bit more than 1 year old. At least I'm happy that both cards are working for now.thx Olaf

| I received my vampire 500v2 from Majista recently, I tried to register it with the serial number provided by him but I when enter the serial number I receive an error saying that the serial is invalid, is it possible that my card was pre-registered on my email prior to shipping? Thanks!

| Does anyone have the registration check exe as an ADF? My A600 is in pieces at the moment.I can hook up a Gotek and run an ADF easily enough.

thanks, is it possible to create a whitelist updated 2.8 core? i'm only asking because its not possible to disable the fpu in 2.9, and i'd like to be able to use hdmi with 2.8. i like using the fpu for software that requires one, but also like the option to disable it for software that is not compatible with it. its also handy being able to disable the fpu for debugging purposes. if it will again be possible to disable the fpu in the next core, then you can ignore this request :) thanx!

thank you... i don't know assembly so i can't comment on your code or what it is specifically doing, but i did compile it and ran it... although it appears to disable the fpu, it doesn't actually seem to disable it in reality. at least with the vampire... i tried your code on both 2.8 and 2.9 with the same results. after running your code, the fpu no longer shows up in sysinfo. i also wrote a small program in E that will check for a fpu, and that also reports no fpu (exec.attnflags AFF_68882)... however, the fpu still seems active and this problem still persists: CLICK HERE i posted a couple of binaries in that thread if you want to check yourself. the only way i've found to avoid the above problem is 'vcontrol fp 0' ... but 'vcontrol fp 0' doesn't work on the 2.9 core.

As intended. Proper code will refrain from using the FPU and bad code won't crash, at least. ExecBase->AttnFlags is the documented way of checking for FPU presence.

| I have absolutely no idea how to manage it, because I am not a hacker. This installationstuff is too much for me. The VampireSN.exe is not working with Win 7 64bit. And I also missed the deadline to register, but I would like to do so. Youtube vid is down etc. So what should I do? And please step by step. The Vampire is here on my desk. Regards G.

Transfer VampSN to your Amiga with Vampire (FTP, floppy disk, if you have A600 with net best download it there). Turn it with Vamp properly put in and run it from any version of AmigaOS. Now,with serial and your contact data (incl. from whom you purchased vampire and when) contact Renaud Schweingruber renaud.schweingruber@gmail.com and usually in next core download update here (see dates) http://wiki.apollo-accelerators.com/#latest_core you will get 2.9+ core with your serial "built in" giving you colour.

| the easiest way to get your vampire serial number is to "simply" install the latest coffin OS, you will find the vampiresn.exe file one of the folders, just execute the file and the serial number will pop up
