All respect is to Matthew Simon William Langtry who did the fix and the upload.

Now, if someone has time to play (and a Torrent account) it would be great to:
- Have OS version with emulators and apps but no huge data files and just 200MB or so free space on OS partition (since image stores even free space as ISO)- Target is smaller site 2-8GB so people with smaller cards can use it. Also all assigns and paths should be to this sys partition
- Have PFS Doctor included just in case
- Have the icons replaced with some New/Glow or Masonic icons that better fit the modern RTG 16/24 bit display
- Have the file ZIPPed with maximum compression, or image uploaded uncompressed to save the time, RAR is a bit tricky on Linux/Macs and especially Amigas (while it is best archiver in terms of compression).

Hello!

Quick question. If I write the image to a larger sized SD card, let's say 64 or 128GB, will I be able to use the additional space on the sd card? Perhaps by creating another partition?

Thanks!

I tried that. When you write the 32GB disk image to a larger disk you get 32GB of useful data and space. The rest is unused and I could not partition the unused space without damaging the newly written partitions from the 32GB disk image.

But you could partition a larger disk the way you prefer, write the image to a smaller disk, mount it in something like WinUAE like I did and copy whatever you'd like to the newly partitioned disk.

I was thinking that too, or something else I was thinking about, but not sure it will work(?)

Ok, here goes... vampire has an IDE port, right? Connect a hard drive to it, not CF card, and copy everything over to it. Then boot the Amiga from harddrive (if that works? It should) then clear the SD card and repartition it.

And the rest you already know :)

Is it possible to have multiple CompactFlash cards on the Vampire? I have an 8GB (my original one) and the 32GB (with ApolloOS on it). It would be nice to be able to use one to copy files back and forth (via UAE) since I don't have my SD slot anymore.

Not sure if it's true for everyone else, but I've had problems while trying to use more than one CF card on the Vampire V2. I've tried a few different configurations with two cards and the second card doesn't show up. The power light blinks. So I'm stuck with just one CF card till I can set up my microSD card reader on the Vampire to use for storage and transfer.

CF cards are notorious for their lack of Master/Slave support. It's quite rare that two CFs are working properly on one controller.

In addition, the FastIDE mode of the V500 (if enabled) does not work with more than one device connected to it's port.

Dusko, I think you're confusing them with Amiga.org.  AW has almost no moderation at all whereas Amiga.org really IS like the inquistion.

it has been the other way around before. aw.net has had what could be considered most unfair moderation for quite a while before aorg buyout, when some old staff gave it up and some replacement has been moved in from aw.net. the result is that  aw.net has become quiet, since moderation there has been pactically abandoned for no left manpower. quite the opposite result to what has been claimed to happen there by the endangered species calling for restrictive policies all the time.

you might have missed on that, even though i wonder, how.

I remember it few years ago, as I posted about the future of Amiga on arm or fpga architecture. I got millions of ban reports just for saying, with no flaming or bad language
in any way,  that the Amiga should go arm or fpga.

From then I never logged into that single minded xtremist place.

amigaorg, never registered there. this place here is quite fine and
peaceful and it is the right platform i was predicting 7 years ago.

Well, it's peaceful over at Amiga.org as long as you don't say anything that's the least bit critical of OS4 or PPC processors or the boutique prices charged for A-Eon hardware. I was banned for 5 months at one point for suggesting that x86_64 was the way ahead.

@Dusko Kovacic

what happened to you is pretty commonplace. i have stopped counting my abuse reports after a while. but this way they managed to get rid of most users, save me and a handful os4 supporters, who ironically didnt left for a safer harbour like amigans to be entirely protected from evil outside world.

as i said, a.org, contrary to awnet which was cursed from the start, has seen better times. today id reccomend eab, or a1k for german speakers.
