Is it possible to print in Apollo OS? It seems like a basic question but I'm unable to find any documentation anywhere on this and I've searched a bit. I don't see any print utilities included in the OS.

I frankly not print on Amiga ... I think you can on ApolloOS install whatever printer you prefer. Maybe netprint (printing over ethernet to network printer) is good option.

Printing especially via the parallel port seems to be a neglected area not just (possibly) with Apollo OS. Printing is fine on Classic Amigas with OS3.x & on WinUAE but on other UAE based emulators like Amiberry & FS-UAE no printing via Parallel port support (as far as I can see). I brought a new PC motherboard last year that comes with a LPT header so it's not like there's no new systems with the port. I use my trusty old HP LaserJet 6L via a switch box on Linux Mint & also print Wordworth 7 documents on my A2000 (OS3.2).
It's not the most fun aspect of computing but I would say the ability to Print is fundamental.
Maybe printing with ApolloOS is already well supported & I have got the wrong end of the stick. Anyone with any experience of printing in ApolloOS care to share how they've got on?

Why dont you use network printing? Today many printers are network cabeable.
You have network support on your V4, so this super easy, right?

Personally I'm happy with my old printer & as it works perfectly with all the systems I use i.e. Linux Mint, Amiga OS3.2 (plus 3.1 & 3.9), WinUAE & Windows 7. Why add to the mindbogglingly massive pile of e-waste our modern consumerist society produces each year? If you get some genuine benefit, fair enough … no such benefit for me ditching the LaserJet. The lack of parallel port printer support in Amiberry & FS-UAE is disappointing (also Windows 11 lack of drivers) but as I prefer WinUAE (& Linux Mint over Windows 11) it doesn't matter for me personally.
I don't yet own a V4 although I'm very interested in both Salamander & Firebird; If I buy one, parallel port printer support will play a part in deciding whether or not I mainly use ApolloOS over OS3.2 hence my interest.

Yes of course parallel printer works as always... nothing changed

Good to know that parallel port printing is supported in Apollo OS, thanks.
