I cannot boot R53, I get a Guru Error:801D 001E, Task: F8EB7FE4

Which I doubt is very informative :)

It's the first time I've tried Coffin, or using the SD card slot on my board.

It's a Kipper2k board flashed using the X11 jic file as x12 doesn't run.
The SDcard is a 32GB SanDisk.

Anyone got any advice?

I'm 99% sure that I used the fixed one but I'm redownloading it to confirm.

Just to confirm, I used the latest version, reflashed the SD card. Still no luck.

Going to try it via an IDE adapter to see if its the SD slot/card later in the week

Can you explain more what you try to do?
Normally people boot from Coffin - and use an IDE-port for this.

How do you try to boot?

Using an IDE->SD card adapter to boot. But havig just had chance to retry this the HDD light remains on, even when the SD card isn't inserted into the slot. Something is quite clearly wrong there.

Nothing happens, it sits with a black screen on the SCART output and never goes to the insert disk screen.

However it DOES show the Vampire 2.10 boot screen over DIGITAL-VIDEO! So that at least appears to be working :)

have you considered that the cable is perhaps put in the wrong way? The HDD activity light always stayed on when I put the cable the wrong way.

Yes I have but everything looks correct, pin 1 on both board and IDE connector looks correct. I'll try to find some more time this weekend.

Andrew, how about using a real CF?
I can recommend Sandisk Ultra 32GB CF.
They work very good and are also fast.

Same error with a Sandisk Ultra 32GB CF card and adapter that arrived just this morning.

Honestly the A600 is just the most annoying and finnicky little b*****d machine in the whole Amiga lineup. Trying to coax it into doing more is so frustrating.

I had a few CF adapters I randomly bought off Amazon that just wouldn't work with my A600. They would either not be stable or just not even boot at all. The adapter from Amigakit works well, the shorter the cable to the adapter it seems the better.

Dear all,

Just wanted to confirm that I cannot extract/validate the archive with WinRAR x64 v3.93 *but* I can test/extract the archive with 7-Zip x64 v18.05.

Cheers!

Uuuh duuuuh!! - rolls eyes - Amiga 600 is a retard child resulted from A500 and A1200 mating with each other...tch. Everyone knows that!

my A600 behaves well. I never had troubles with CF cards. She ate all of them (128MB, 2GB, 4GB, 32GB..).
