Great!

And hopefully JimDrew can now use his energy into updating Fusion to the point where it becomes the prefered Vampire version.

how do you boot emutos or freemint partitions? also im buying daughterboard since I have fpga arcade and 68060 cpu to be used. It don't hurt to have some competition and maybe one day combine both efforts.

If FreeMINT is unpacked there, and EmuTOS is loaded it can boot it automatically or manually (emuTOS seems to be part of core now).

It would be great if FPGA Arcade, Minimig, Myst and Vamp could merge, but due to different owners and goals I doubt it (same as with AROS,MOS, OS4 and 68k OS 3.9+)

How can I update to R51 without wiping my entire install please? I have spent a lot of time installing new apps/configuring existing ones to work the way I want, setting up my internet, email and so on and don't want to have to start over again... thanks.

Would be nice, but likely the best you could do is copy over the systems volume in it's entirety assuming you haven't done much changes there and then selectively copy over anything new in the Programs volume.

The readme mentions a 'IPM' package manager that can do updates (sound like a Windows Update type thing). Does this actually work and is it easy enough to setup?

far as I know, no one spent any time setting that up.

Also, I actually bought fusion and pcx back in the day, am I legit in saving off that software from previous releases, and copying into my r5x installation? I still have the install media/cases and documentation...

Ideally, installing your own copies with your own serials would be 100% nagsayers proof.

I have never had luck downloading coffin, I can never unarchive the download as I get this error "Extraction failed, make sure enough space is available" I have about 400GB free. Exactly the same thing has happened on previous download attempts on earlier versions.

I'm on Debian Linux, using KTorrent. File appears to download OK, and is 14.2 GB in size. I'm using Ark to extract it, but it says the unpacked size is only 1GB.

Ark says the MD5 hash = cdcaa600c79c877a522f1845155bac8c

Moved the file to a PC and tried 7-Zip to unarchive it. Also failed.

I must be doing something wrong as no one else seems to have problems.

David, you may need to download and install the windows flavor of winzip (yes they make it for other platforms .. I am on OSX and had similar issues, {myself I now use Keka which has a nice gui} ..

but try that.. see if you have any more luck.

Since ApolloOS is heavily RAR packed to be as small archive as possibe, its best to use native unRAR or full RAR archiver.

  Free unRARs for allOSs
  EXTERNAL LINK
Support for RAR in default OSs is non existing, even its de facto best archiver for decades. ZIPs and unZIPs wont help.

Thanks for that.

I was not able to find a Linux version of winzip, and my old windows XP PC was too old for the PC version, but I did find another PC program called winRAR which seems to be working well, and is now grinding its way through the file as I type this.

I can see where I went wrong in my Linux computer. It seems that rar was not properly supported, even though the documentation of ARK seemed to imply it was. Now installed unRAR and its all good now.

Thanks everyone for your help.

Anyone else noticing that EaglePlayer2 plays all audio at a slow speed? like 80% normal speed..

I went in and tweaked the amplifier mixer to mix at 22khz rather than 44 and it seems to have fixed the issue ..
