Do you own the USB Blaster? Do you have Quartus Programmer installed? It is very unlikely to "brick" anything (you may end up with non-working core that gives you black screen, yes - but this is reversible by reflashing). I myself flashed so far literally hundreds of test cores on both my V4 and V2, switching back and forth between RTG-only, AGA-only, partially working and non-booting ones ;)
If you follow these steps EXTERNAL LINK and then go on and try the EXTERNAL LINK alpha, and you want to go back to GOLD2.x, you can always reflash a JIC from the official releases:
https://wiki.apollo-accelerators.com/#latest_core
(with Blaster+JIC, not EXE - that won't probably work).
That's it, there's a slight risk (hence the disclaimer), but hey - no risk no fun, remember? ;) Just give it a go.
Just remember to have your CF/HDD configured for AGA beforehand - your FDD won't work, and neither will the onboard microSD reader (and that is why it's still pre-alpha for testing).

I can see that the Quartus Programmer is not 200 Mb!?? What program should i download? the Quartus Programmer is about 1.5 Gb....
In the light of *ekhm* "recent events" triggered by Some YT Streamer with No Clue, here's my latest capture.
EXTERNAL LINK Ramses "A-Sensation" (AGA, 1998) running on V4+ Standalone, ApolloOS/AROS, core rev. 8013 (85MHz).
Enjoy!

Let's celebrate Loaderror's Birthday with a 060/AGA demo coded by him for this year's Revision - "The Martini Effect"! Here it is running on V4+ with the latest release core (6.2) and 3.1 ROM.
