| That TBL "Rift" demo was excellent. What's the forced single pipe about, how does it differ from normal operation?

| This demo refused to work with GOLD3 beta since always. When launched, it just got stuck at black screen and didn't even show the "Loading..." screen. As suggested by Flype on IRC I tried turning the SuperScalar mode off and suddenly it worked perfectly (although not as fast as it would with SS=1). Some demos are stubborn this way and use some funky code/cache tricks that might only work in specific conditions. Therefore "forced single pipe" meant turning the 68080 SuperScalar mode off for this demo (as seen on the video, with a VControl command) and for compatibility letting it run with a single instruction pipeline as opposed to two-pipe (the default) CPU operation.

| Thanks for the explanation. I was curious, I never had a 68060 back in the day and have never looked at what features it had over previous generations (now I have though).

| How about the demo Prototype1 by Haujobb? Does that work? (http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=54617)

| So far with every GOLD3 beta revision I tested (both V2 and V4), it works fine up to about 75% in ;) Unfortunately goes black after that point and while music is still playing correctly, stays like this till the end. So no point in recording at this time, will be trying in the future for sure, as "Prototype1" is one of my all-time favourite AGA demos.

| Some great Revision 2019 demos. They appear to run nicely on the Vampire. I know it's not AGA, but does the TBL EON demo work? I was reading it uses some OCS/ECS hacks to work and was curious if it worked on the Vampire V4?

| Haven't tried "Eon" on V4 yet and there's a serious difficulty in doing this - unless there's a HD loader for this demo, I won't be able to even try - it's a trackloader 2-disk floppy demo. In the current AGA cores there's no possibility of accessing the FDD. Meanwhile, I recorded another OCS demo from Revision and it works 100% perfectly: "Twenty Years Of Zealotry" by Moods Plateau EXTERNAL LINK

| "Are We Dead Yet?" is a 2015 AGA demo by Dekadence. It runs on and was designed for a stock A1200. Still, runs flawlessly on a recent 99MHz V4 standalone core. Enjoy :) EXTERNAL LINK

I love it, too :) As soon we have it working properly I will definitely capture this. These older demos used much more copper/blitter/sprite tricks than you can imagine, so they need just a little more love ;)

| V4/SA now also supports real 60Hz NTSC mode. Here's a demo from 1998 by Cirion that runs in this mode: Cirion "Aroma Color"
