So there is some kind of basic MMU(-feature) implemented in the core now?

Interesting... can we ask for a SysInfo results screenshot?

Sysinfo isn't very representative. It measure right thing in nonsense way. Gunar told this some time ago (he recommended recompile Sysinfo and read it code if you don't believe).
In his opinion AIBB is much better.
So please share with us results of AIBB...

I did simple LhA archiving test and from my results it was nearly 10 % faster with Silver9.
But currently I experienced some stability issues so I reverted to Silver7.

How should I use the new BoingBall2 patch file?

  I'm using BoingBall 1. When I installed BoingBall2 my A600 won't boot. That's why I returned to BoingBall1.

I played in MagicC64 emulation, but after sometime it freeze and crashed. After that constant freezes (it froze even plain amiga dos). Similar scenario like with Silver8.
I had to wait quite long time powered off, then safely reverted to Silver7 - rock stable here. Never had those problems with 6/7.

After flashing V2 with Silver9 the vampire is gone, back to vanilla A600 configuration. Both vampire leds are always on now and cannot flash it anymore, contacts are good.

Any ideas? Thanks

If the file system MaxTransfer is not set to 0x1FE00, bigger files than 128kB will be corrupted. Flash exe is 1.57MB

You will need a USB-Blaster.

Getting one, although MaxTransfer was fine. Thank you

I unarchive the flash files to RAM: and run them from there.  Maybe do this to avoid bricking it?

I've a question or two about the ROM patch included in the archive.

What is it patching ?
If the BB2 ROM is patched can it also be patched with scsi.device patch : EXTERNAL LINK

Thanks!

usualy patching is modifying a genuine file with a patch-file in order to get a modified/improved (?) (binary) file as result. this is required, as example, when (c, c++, ..) sources are not available and fixes and additional fubctionality need to be introdueced by disassembling, modifyinbg and reassembling of asm/machine code, rather than the genuine (referred as human readable) higher level code.

you can patch file by file, there is linux and amiga commands to do that.

Ah I think you misunderstood my question, or I wrote it badly :-)

I was trying to ask what the patch file included in the Silver9 update archive is actually changing in the "Amiga OS ROM Update".

And if those changes would interfere with the changes the scsi.device patch makes ...

Basically .. Can I apply the scsi.device patch to the already "Vampire" patched ROM ?

Might have still written that badly :-)

Lotus 3 & lotus 1 whdload ver don't work for me with silver9. Intro is ok but in game both run at 1fps.
