Hi,

Are the cables straight thru on the Ethernet module to the EXP port per diagram or do I need to install some 50k pullup resistors on 3,4,5 & 8?

Sorry, if this is dumb question.

Thanks,
Robert

Question 1:In the @feature promo@ video (AMIGA or ATARI speeddating), left mouse button was used. Can this somehow be configured?

Question 2: FreeMint needs a separate partition on IDE/SDCard with its files and that it? ("Normally" a separate EmuTOS partition would be needed to boot other FreeMINT partition. Is this still so or EmuTOS is "in the Vamp"?)

On sidenote, EmuTos officially supports AC080.

      HARDWARE

Making EmuTOS run natively on a new hardware platform is more or less just a question of driver support for EmuTOS. The same for MiNT, if you'd like to have it running on top of EmuTOS.

This is the currently supported Atari hardware:

      - CPU support for m68000, m68010, m68020, m68030, m68040, m68060,
ColdFire V4e, and Apollo Core 68080

EmuTOS is also available on some non-Atari hardware:
    - Amiga (WinUAE, Amiga 1000, Amiga 1200 with Blizzard 1260)
    - ColdFire Evaluation Boards (M5484LITE, M5485EVB)

Also emutos exists as vampire.rom!

EmuTOS - Amiga ROM version

This EmuTOS version is a ROM for Amiga hardware.

emutos-amiga.rom - English ROM
emutos-kickdisk.adf - English Amiga 1000 Kickstart disk
emutos-vampire.rom - English ROM optimized for Vampire V2 accelerators

congrats everyone. freakin awesome work. i'm typing this on a rev5 A500 running netsurf on coffinOS  it almost seems unreal. you dont wanna see the mashup of wires i have connecting the lan adapter. but hey, its all in the spirit i feel.  also, i think the increase in FPU has made quake2 a viable properstion. and now the bench to get. quake1 is just too smooth ;D  anyway, time to flash up the ol 600. BTW did SD card booting ever make it into this core?

Most anticipated feature, but sadly, NOT this time.

Alternative exists as "Vampire Boot"

aaah sugar.... i'll never get that on a floppy disk :D

the ide port on my 600 has a cracked +5v pin... and a couple of others that aren't just ground lines. all the luck ;)

ah well, thanks again. i think this is about the fastest online amiga setup I've ever run or experienced!. (i did fire up my A3k/060 only to check my IP config was correct and then powered her off. almost felt guilty doing that to the old girl.)

even if it all stops with Gold2.9, i'm as happy as ... so thanks again all, have a great weekend containing many alcoholic beverages

Nice - I'm looking forward to testing this out.  It's a shame I forgot my USB blaster today, I was showing off 2.8 on the V500 at Amiga ON today.  Photoshop 4.0 and Kai's Power Tools.  Ran rock solid.

What's the benefit of being able to run EMUTOS/mint?  Does it run native Atari ST software?

How does this feature work? When it says "on board ROM-CHIP", is that  the ROM chip on the Vampire or the ROM chip on the A600's motherboard? I typed "vcontrol nm" and the screen just flashes yellow. Have to switch the A600 off and on again.

Not exactly sure how this works and what the purpose is.

Hi,

I flashed ma 600v2 with this 2.9 and now i boot directly on board Rom-Chip.

Why the features access on board ROM-Chip is activated by default ? how to switch please ?

Its not activated by default.
But you can activate this with vcontrol.

What happens if you DISCONNECT your HD/CF and then power the AMIGA On?

Is 68080 loaded at all or does the 68000 CPU run?

hmm, i think it's the point. I booted on Workbench 2.0 and only 1Mb RAM.
How to check to be sure ?

Green led is light on ma V600.

Either your V600 got loose, or you badly flashed the card.
I would propose to make sure the card sits 100% perfect and to reflash the card. Make sure to use the V600 JIC for the V600.
