Haven't heard anything on this for a while. With Gold 3 sending RGB through Hdmi, is this even necessary anymore?

Better yet, when will Gold 3 be released with all the goodies that have been included so that we only need the DIGITAL-VIDEO for all video and sound output?

From what I see on the current test cores there is no need for PARASITE...

Unless you want to party like is 2009 and use a hardware solution to solve the problem of Amiga video over DIGITAL-VIDEO.

I just want to see how much hardware I can stuff under the hood.

^^ this.

Assuming the SAGA is somehow toggle-able then yes, I'd still be interested in the Parasite too.

The parasite will definitely be useful - at least until the Vampire AGA implementation reaches 100% compatible and bugfree state :)

It seems  Parasite was just a development step which was implemented into the Apollo core....

It was an actual hardware board.

To quote McCoy: It's dead, Jim.

Apart from that, Parasite was done for Denise. It didn't account for the 8 Bit per gun resolution of Lisa.

LOL. Are you setting yourself the challenge to do this or are you just finding out whether its not necessary to try and pack it all in? :)

One of the beautiful aspects of the Vampire is you don't have to stuff your poor amiga to the gills with precariously stacked daughter boards like some kind of dead bloated fish.

It was small board announced by team some time ago, before AGA via DIGITAL-VIDEO become a reality :)
If I remember correctly, Parasite was conected to Amiga Deinse and transfering Amiga video signall to Vampire and then to DIGITAL-VIDEO.
