Vampire V2 - SAGA 640x480 Problem

Hi,

I'm trying to run 640x480 resolution. Yes, it works but the screen is cutted from every side eg. there's no Workbench bar (checked on few TV's, monitors and two Vampires). Both Vampires have updated cores.

My install path is: clean OS 3.1, P96 v 2, P96 v2.1e, SAGA.
I've found that when I'm installing SAGA it's copied only icon for SAGA to the DEVS/MONITORS.

I'm fighting with this issue from yesterday and I have no idea what's going on.

Thanks for any help.

I have the same problem here. (but with OS3.9)
I think i wait for 720p or 1080p drivers :)

Specifying the make and model of the TVs/Monitors with issues may help. It may be that there are settings (i.e. overscan) that can be adjusted to improve things or help with improving the driver and video out signals to increase compatibility.

Hi,

my default (at this moment) monitor is Samsung SyncMaster XL2370HD, the TV is LG42LH3000.
I've tried on OS 3.1 and OS 3.9 - nothing help.

Both of those take a 640x480 DIGITAL-VIDEO signal at Horiz. 31.469KHz and Vert. 59.94Hz  EXTERNAL LINK and EXTERNAL LINK section 3.7). I don't know what the exact timing frequencies of SAGA are currently but if the experts are reading this maybe they will comment.

I've not looked at the 320x240 mode, but for 640x480, the default horizontal clock, at least for me, was way too low (24.5 or 25.4 MHz, I forget which). My display (Samsung 2333HD) expects 31.5MHz for VESA 640x480.

  This is how I fixed it:

  * Open SYS:Prefs/Picasso96Mode
  * Click on the SAGA settings
  * Click on the 640x480 Resolution
  * For each of the colour entries in Modes changed the clock to 31.50
  * Clicked Test to make sure the mode was correct
  * Clicked Use
  * Clicked Save
  * Rebooted

  Done :)

Edit: I'd suggest taking a copy of your DEVS:Picasso96Settings file before you do any of this, in case you get it wrong :)

I cannot change clock/display settings in Picasso96Mode :/
If You can change et. clock, why I cannot do that?

At this moment I'm using DIGITAL-VIDEO->VGA adapter and it's working great, but I think that is no solution :/

The program is a usability mess. The slider for setting the clock doesn't slide, you need to click either left or right of it to move it.

Hmmm, my bad that I didn't check it.
The SAGA 0.7b solved my problem :)

Thx
