Michael R suggested to me to use this for data transfer on the A500 vampire.

How else can I get files on to cf card hard drive? Right now I have to remove card, run UAE with card an attach files in emulation.

Good question!

If there's a better way for the A500 I'd like to know as well. For my A1200 I use an SD card as HDD, and a PCMCIA CF card reader to transfer data. I download from the internet to a shared directory then use WinUAE to copy files to the CF. But the CF card isn't hot swappable. You have to switch off the Amiga to insert and remove the card.

The best solution to the Amiga "sneakernet" problem (running back and forth between machines) is to have internet connection on Vampire Amiga 500! But another solution for me rather than use WinUAE is to use Icaros. I have started assembling a 2.6GHz dual core with 4GB ram to install Icaros Desktop 2 on a 60GB SSD drive for Amiga and AROS programming (it should be very fast!). AROS can work with Realtek 8180 wireless chip and it can interface with new hardware including USB and PCIexpress. I can format CF/SD cards for Amiga with SFS, transfer files, mount ADF images, etc. That might work till the Vampire A500 gets internet?

Internet access using Vampire-expansion is already working in the lab...

I have gone through most of setup on sd card install.
All relevant files installed, partitioned, pfs3 etc.

Go to sd mount in cli and try to use giggledisk and this response:
Unable to mount amithlon.device unit 0!

Thought I had it.

amithlon.device ?  Might want to remove that from devs.

Have you gone through these steps religiously ? :-)

Amithlon? I have an amikit for real install, is it from that?

Alright, still get stuck at mount sd phase.
All parameters seem right for drive, all files seem correct in right locations.

Still can't get past giggldisk line without error. Can't initialize ed sd0
