I have a Vampire 500 V2+ inbound! I'm going to fit it in an A2000.

Is there any point/advantage in buying the MegaChip for the Amiga 2000?:

  Guidance appreciated.

p.s. it has the 318069-10 Angus.

With the RTG functionality you will hardly need chipmem.

For WHDLoad it can still be useful to have 2MB chip but for most other stuff 1MB should be plenty.

You could see how this project turns out:

However, when S-AGA is fully operational, I would say, "NO".

Better to save your money and add it some extra, and get a STANDALONE VAMPIRE. It has MORE RAM than the Vampire 2 does (for starters).

You'll find that some demos and WHDload require 2mb chip. not all but some do.

i would say that 2mb chipram is a min for max compatibility....

I've found a lot of things won't work with 1mb chip.
