That was a FLUKE! :-D

I was pointing to that video, so that people can see the drastic difference between what's nearly the fastest "official" 68060 CPU that was ever available for use on AMIGA accelerator cards and the VAMPIRE 2.

And Vampire does 1920x1080 too!!!!!!!!!!

(Vampires will sell over 10,000 units in <=3 years.)

That's getting a bit too exuberant. Heck, they probably couldn't make that many.

I make this case:

1. They have surpassed 2,000 "interested parties" on their waiting list.
2. The standalone has MANY advantages over an add-in card.
3. Some people will buy TWO and some, more than that.
4. Atarians.
5. New software.

Okay, here's a potential scenario.

2,000 (2,000 buy 1)
2,000 (1,000 buy 2)
1,500 (500 buy 3)
5,500 Vampires in the field= 3,500 people

Currently, there are almost 2,500 individual people already getting one.

Well I know if they ever come out with an A3000 version, I'll probably get that as I would love to have my 3000 upgraded along with my A500.

Expressing interest is not a real sale.
Just had kipper contact me about vampire 600, thought I had only expressed for the 500 version.
Many people will decide not to when finally contacted for money, ask any salesperson.

And of course the converse is also true - many people will not express interest until a product is readily available.

True. All in all, no matter the specific number, this card is going to sell big.

If the recent teasers are any indication, the standalone may prove to be even more compelling. It's definitely the way I'd want to go.
