List of problems...

  1) The Amiga will not boot from my Gotek floppy.
It gets stuck on track zero and keep clicking.
I have the latest firmware on the Gotek from EXTERNAL LINK

2) Every disc I insert into the Gotek shows up on Worbench - DF0:Unreadable

3) Corrupted Boot Screen...

4) Maximum SAGA screen resolution is 1024x768. If I try 1280x720, the system crashes.

5) Screen often blanks at random intervals.

6) Manticore gets rather hot. Is that normal?

This is my setup...

These problems did not exist when I had the Vampire 2 card.

You are running your MANTI in AGA mode right now.
Floppy is not working "yet" in AGA mode.
We are currently working on activate floppy also in AGA mode.

Please note that every card was fully testing and booted to system workbench in 1280x720 resolution before shipping.
1280x720 should work just fine.
Something with your install seems not kosher.

This should not be.
Screen blanking could indicate weak power.

The A600 below the Manticore has some hot chips that can heat it up from below.

Gunnar,

I want to be able to install Workbench 3.2 using floppy & CD.
Any idea on how long for the floppy fix?

I flashed the card using a USB blaster with the current firmware from your download section and then flashed the current Kickstart 3.2.1 rom.

Apart from the floppy drive problems, here a few issues.

1) The computer will not reset until I turn the power off.
Warm or Cold reset does not work.

2) Kickstart 3.2.1 boot screen is corrupted.

3) WHDLoad crashes upon exit with blank screen. The computer has to be switched off and then back on. Same with SysInfo.

4) Problem playing MPG videos using Riva 0.56 in full screen mode. After video plays, returns to garbled lores workbench. No problem playing windowed mode.

5) VControl reports Manticore Vampire card as V4-500 card? Not a big issue.

I have replaced my monitor and the screen resolution problems are now fixed.

Apart from that the system is working beautifully. I am unable to use the Vampire V4 IDE port because I am using Kickstart 3.2.1, but the system still boots up very quickly.

I am available for beta testing firmware.

Sorry, I can _not_ reproduce this.
Leaving SYSINFO is no problem for me here with Manticore.

Could it be that your OS install has a problem?
Did you try ApolloOS 9 or Coffin #61, for comparison?

I failed to mention that I flashed the card with Kickstart 3.2.1 ROM and running Workbench 3.2.1.

Also I removed the SAGA Jumper. Difference is now that I can boot from Gotek floppy. I did not find any noticable difference from leaving the jumper on or off regarding playing games or demos.
