Vampire V2 Game Timing Issues ??

I've had my Vampire V2 now for a week or so.

the performance is astounding, doom runs so smooth as does workbench, booting to classic workbench 3.1 from cold under 5 seconds.

My issues,

Games booted from floppy or WHDLoad same result.

Hybris runs slower than stock A600
Virus runs slower than stock A600
Stunt Car Racer runs slower than stock A600
ZeeWolf runs slower than stock A600

Secret of Monkey Island runs WAY to fast, music, everything
State of the art demo runs WAY to fast.

Monkey Island II runs perfectly, better in fact smoother scrolling.
Frontier Elite II a joy to play so smooth

I have not tried other games yet but for me as good as the vampire is atm with the SIlver core something is wrong, how can "Virus" for example run so slow.

Hi, tnx for those information's. We are onto this right now. We just can't test everything and that's why we need help from everyone who received cards. This is nice investigation from your side and you will see improvements shortly. Thank you once more :)

Looks like the chipmem bus needs a little love but the issue has already been spotted and there will be a core update soon.

Interesting that the timings are off...I just watched this vampire review on youtube and it got me thinking.

To the team members.. this review says that the vampire runs on NTSC timings, I am sure that 90% of amiga software was designed on Pal timings. Would this have anything to do with it?? or does WHDLoad compensate for the differences in timings?

Hi,

Add the "expchip" string to the whdload icon tool - also, most games are written in PAL, there is an option to use a pal/ntsc switch in whdload.

this also happens booting from floppy disk, so its a problem with the vampire not the loading options.
