Release 8.0 99Mhz

Hi!
I had my Vampire V4 with Release 8.0 running at 99mhz.
I've downloaded and installed 'The latest core', which curiously is 7.3 at this time on the Download page. After flashing it, it now tells me it is running at 85 Mhz. Is this expected?

Also, where is this elusive release 8.0?

Release 8 of Core is still in beta state.

But the final release is coming.
