Hi guys,

Sorry if this has been asked before, I have searched and I can't find an answer.

I have pre ordered an Icedrake but was just wondering if the USB port is this purely for the supplied USB Joypad, or will it fuction for basic USB storage too? Either now or in the future?

Also, what are the dimensions of the card?

  Thank you.

Hello Pete,

The ICEDRAKE and FIREBIRD both have dual USB ports for attaching USB mice and USB joypads.

These USB ports are dedicated for mice and joypad.
They are able to translate the USB device into Amiga device signals.
This means all games will be able to use them even without any USB drivers. The USB Joypad looks to the Amiga like a CD32 pad - this means CD32 games can use the multi buttons.

For storage / data-exchange the card offers IDE and micro-SDcard.

The length of the Icedrake, including the A1200 connector is 126mm.
