An fpga reimplementation of the Unreleased Commodore 65 apparently, give or take.

Here's the latest pictures of the actual machine:

I really like that the system is open source, and that they're designing it to look exactly like the ultra rare C64DX with floppy drive and all.

Rasterbar mega65 demo written specifically to utilize the enhanced palette and instructions. Note the smooth gradients, screen shift and scaler (0:32 - 1:37):

What I like is how they managed to make a nice professionally looking case for it. A stand-alone fpga amiga needs something like this.

Yes, indeed but how on earth did they fund the production of injection molded cases? How do they expect to make a profit if they incur such a cost? Iv'e no idea. We do have the a1200 reproduction cases and a mooted second a1200 case project; but yes I'd like an injection molded amiga like case for a standalone apollo system if that happens.

Edit; it seems the one in the video thierry linked to was laser printed, the sound is poor in that video though.

It was supposed to be a part of a school project to cut the costs of the injection molds and tooling.

  Edit:
The 3d printed case is the first prototype. The finished product is going to be with a proper injection molded case. And there has been talk about a specially designed motherboard complete with 2 sid sockets for this system also.
