Hi there,
I have some trouble to get my screen working as under picasso96  pixel failures occur(red spots appearing and disapearing again and so on). Does somebody has an idea?

Sounds like you have a noise problem. Either the DIGITAL-VIDEO cable is not shielded properly, too long or you have something very noisy close by. First try with another cable (and as short as possible). I had a few glitches on mine as well until I added an DIGITAL-VIDEO repeater.

Now my setup is like this:
Vampire -> 30cm DIGITAL-VIDEO cable -> repeater -> 1m DIGITAL-VIDEO cable -> monitor

Since I set it up like this, I have not seen a single glitch.

Thanks Martin, I gonna check. I tested another TFT (4:3)with only DVI and there were no glitches at all. So, the card is working properly...with another hdmi cable and the Screen of the Samsung  (16:9)got even worse. I have to find other cables and/or try it with a repeater...let you know.

"Line noise" is static generated by electrical devices that generate electromagnetic interference.  For example, large fluorescent light fixtures are famous for producing lots of "line noise" with the ballast component.

Ok, so you mean a light standing next to the lcd monitor? Well, I am waiting for anew hdmi cable. A repeater is too expensive and often they worsen the picture quality from my point of view. What I did now is to have a resolution 1024x576, which the vampire works great w/o any glitches. Higher resolution by now are not possible...

The DIGITAL-VIDEO amplifier is necessary to correct noises in the image.
Sure, it is expensive, but it is christmas and you can play the lottery or the Bingo to win all the 3 dollars needed to buy it:

With a repeater it works perfectly. Thank you very much. Now I can run the highest resolution w/o any glitches - "sweet"
