Is it normal for over 50% of WHDload games to fail or run abnormally with a Vampire 2?
Im experiencing:

Games crashing and dumping immediately on start up
Games running to fast
Flickering, glitching GFX, especially on 3d games.
Sound effects or parts of music completely missing

etc

My experience is that 80% of games run fine.
But maybe my game selection is different.
Or maybe I use a different WHDLOAD version than you.

But please mind that many games are badly coded and will fail on faster CPU.
Please wait a little for GOLD2.
GOLD2 coming out soon will offer a "slow-mode" which greatly improves gaming experience of bad coded games.

Most games I have tried have some kind of issue with the Vampire. Some will not even start but those that will run often have some kind of audio/video issues like you mention. This is simply due to the slave not being designed for such a fast CPU.

I guessed it was the CPU. Im not to bothered as I still have my A1200 for WHDload. Believe it or not I still mainly use my A500 and floppy disks for gaming?! Something about the full nostalgia experience I suppose?

I would imagine if you only owned an A600 with vamp people might find it a bit disappointing that a large chunk of the amigas game library doesn't run correctly. But as said, cores are being developed to remedy this and I bet most people can dig out an old A500 or even use Winuae for now if they want to try a game that doesn't run.

Thanks for the info.

Personally really looking forward to AGA implementation :)
