Vampire 500 V2+ In A2000 - HDMI Clearance?

Hi, I heard that if you install a Vampire 500 V2+ in an A2000 using a CPU slot adapter then the DIGITAL-VIDEO connector will be too high, even if you use a right-angle DIGITAL-VIDEO connector.  So the A2000 case would not fit.

    Can anyone confirm this?

Sorry I had to put spaces in DIGITAL-VIDEO because for some reason the Forum was replacing it with the words "Digital Video".

    Thanks
    Darren

This is half true. Only for those adapters where the socket is in parallel to the slot.

Just buy an adapter that rotates the vamp by 90°.
The arananet vampire adapter for example: EXTERNAL LINK

Ok, thanks, unfortunately my adapter is the parallel kind.  And the other kind that rotate the card are not recommended according to the FAQ on this page:

I was having intermittent connection issues with my slot adapter on my A2000, ended up just plugging directly to 68000 socket, plenty of space under the drive tray.

I have mine installed the same way. I don't use the Vampire's onboard IDE since I have a Buddha IDE interface for my CF Boot Device and DVDROM. The Vampire 500 V2 works great set up this way.

I still run the Vampire IDE as it's substantially faster than anything that would go through the zorro bus. Don't have any issues as I'm running a CF card on a right angle adapter.

I use my V500 V2+ in an A2000 and CPU slot adapter which has the 68000 socket parallel to the CPU slot. I have bought a DIGITAL-VIDEO cable which has 90 degree angle connector on one side and it just fits, I can close the top. I bought it on ebay but long ago so I don't remember the exact type. I am sure you can find one which works. If needed I can check it on the weekend, maybe I find the brand on the cable.

I did find avery thin right-angle DIGITAL-VIDEO cable on Aliexpress...not super cheap though but they probably would fit.

Without anything attached how much clearance is there from the case to the Vampire's DIGITAL-VIDEO connector do you know?
