Leds On V1200 Mass Storage - How To???

Hello vampire guys.
I noticed that on my v1200 there are 6 pins placed on the top near the ide connector.

The first couple it seems relative to onboard ide activity.
If this is the case is there a way to build our custom led?
I dont want to use the Amiga leds, i just want to add a new one using the ones i use with arduini project, just regular 3.3 red leds, is it possible? Do i have to put a resistor in series? If yes how big?

The second couple it seems just a power led indicator, it just tell us if the vampire board is on or not. Is this the case or is something else?

The third couple it seems just a reset button, maybe shorting them we have the same effect of ctrl+amiga+amiga.

And last question, is there a way to get an activity led for the sd drive?

I am asking before trying because I dont want to risk damaging my vampire with this strange experiments, but after all, if Igor put this pins there must be some kind of usage.

Hi, it is simple, you don't need to add any resistors. All components needed are already soldered on the card.

Just use female dupont wires and LED's for power and IDE LED or for reset tactile switch, just watch for + sign shown near header.

Purpose of the header was for towerised A1200 who alreaday have dupont connectors included for LED's and reset button found at front of the case. MicroSD activity wasn't implemented but it could be done easily over one of the expansions headers later if needed.

It would be good if you could save one video and explain how you did it for other people who are interested in this.

I will first try to make a custom board with soldering pins, a led and a tactile switch on it, then we will see what happens.
In theory if I switch the led polarity the led simply wont light up and the vampire should not be harmed.

Regarding the expansion port, for now for me it's unused because I dont know what I can do with that port today, maybe adding some other hardware but at this stage my amiga has everything I can think of, maybe adding the sd activity would be a way to use it.
Another idea would be to use the exp port to add usb ports but I doubt USB would be useful to someone.

The power led for my regular non towerized amiga is pretty useless, I already have that lead on the original amiga leds.
The reset switch could be handy, in this way i will only have to press a button instead of three on the keyboard to soft reboot the amiga.
