  So you're selling a non-working Vampire for 500 Eur?

  I put a 500eur price because I don't know its value.
I won't give it away for few money if it can become rock solid as someone else said. I have also to consider eBay & PayPal fees.
And I wrote also MAKE SERIOUS OFFER.

We can deal that price as an installment plan for 24 months if you wish. (10+10)*24 and you get my board.

You showed on the Ebay auction a screen shots of a game.
This means the game ran? Y/N?

When you say you had problems with the Vampire,
can you more clear explain what the problems are?

What did you had connected to the Vampire?
And DIGITAL-VIDEO? If yes, then how was this connected?

Did you had anything connected on the SD-port?

  It doesn't.

In that instance, since it's not been working for quite some time, i would be asking the Vampire team, if they would mind getting it in for repair etc.

Don't sell it. If it's not working, it will only get returned, and you will be stuck with it, and anyway, you would regret it.

send it back for testing/repair.

I think the very first step should be to more clear describe the problem.
To me its not clear what this issue is at all.

And i would agree with you. The OP said it has never worked, that was why i suggested sending it back for repair. Not because i think he has been short changed, but because it might be the only way of getting it fixed.

But yeah, I would only do that, after all other avenues had been explored, and i had more of an idea what was wrong.

if my memory is correct this would have been have been bought in 2017 or earlier. As Kipper2k got burnt financially on a batch of fpga and had health issues so had pretty much left by June\July 2017. (I think he sold a few later in that year)

Looking at the details of this post the OP seems to be able to flash different version of the core. So it works at some level

I wrote here about my problems

  CLICK HERE
  other problems:
The board doesn't boot at all. Shows a black screen.
Flashing a core is almost impossible without pushing the card with my thumb.
It doesn't stay on the 68K unless I push it down with a thumb.
If I attach a joystick after booting Coffin, the whole system freezes.
  Very unstable.
  I use a DIGITAL-VIDEO or Scart RGB.

I have a bare A600 with Floppy Drive and SD Card with Coffin or ClassicWB. No other hardware

the games I tried run with colour glitches
same from floppy or whd load

From that description it seems the socket hasn't been properly shaved down and notched to clear the surface mount component that prevents full contact.

The first things you list, scream of a bad connection. Please, please, please, don't think i am trying to write your problems off, i had the exact same stability issues, until i sorted it.

The board wont boot, and shows a black screen, this usually means CPU can't be initialised, and the system halts, this is almost always a bad connection.

Flashing a core while pressing it down with your thumb? I have had to do this to in the past. What core are you running? if you keep your thumb pressure on it, does the Amiga work fine with the Vampire in it? again, this screams bad connection.

It doesn't stay on, unless i push it down with my thumb, well again, 3rd times a charm, connectivity issue. I had the same issue, and printed out a bracket designed to bolt it down, my V600 hasn't fallen over in years.

Coffin, for me, is unusable. I find it crashes on any of my Vampire systems, within seconds, and it has LOADS of stuff on there i will never use, i find WBClassic to be far more stable for what i want, which is faster gameplay

What games are you running that have glitches?

Don't sell it, we will try to help.

What core do you use?

How is the DIGITAL-VIDEO connected?
Can you please describe this clearly?
Could it be that the DIGITAL-VIDEO cable "pulls" the Vampire card from the socket?

Core GOLD 2.7 x10 flashed via jic file.
The DIGITAL-VIDEO is good connected. it doesn't pull it away.

I had similar issues with my Kipperboard.

The socket didnt get a solid fit until I used finegrain sandpaper on the plastic sockets, which shaved a millimeter or two (the small white plastic fits you screw to your mainboard).

This gave me a solid fit for the socket, and it boots up reliably now.
That said; I havent done the capacitor upgrade (Kipper went with cheaper caps), so Im sticking to the x10 cores. I could run the x11 ones, but it crashed too much, so I downgraded to x10.

So now its more or less 100% stable.

Got it repaired by a professional.
the money I spent to have it done was way worth more than the money paid to Kipper.

How on earth did the area where the socket resides get so badly damaged? From the pictures, not only does it look like it was badly scratched, but also corroded. Whoever did the original repair and modifications did some shockingly bad and incompetent work right there and it's not a bit of wonder this V600 didn't work. I think it was extremely unfair to blame kipper2k for this.

Totally agree. Pretty shit to be blaming Kipper when looking at that, it's been butchered with an attempted socket change, a poor job at the capacitor mod using the wrong size caps. I'm not surprised it didn't work after that

Kipper2k only hand assembled the first batch of V2 cards, the rest were done at an assembly house.

I think it would be better to point the finger of blame at whoever butchered it trying to "repair" it.
