Gunnar in real life that doesn't matter. Police don't bust down your door for owning an unsheilded computer.

Is this the case in your city, or your country?
Do you know about other countries?

Her in Germany they are allowed to "Beschlagnahme"=confiscate unshielded devices.

If this happens, do you think you will get compensation from the plastic case vendor?

In English law it's a crime to be drunk in a pub. What we learn from this is that sometimes there are laws that don't mean anything, and aren't enforced because they're stupid and unimportant.

Your local police will be more concerned with rapists and murderers than an Amiga which very slightly interferes with AM radios in a radius of maybe at most 10cm.

In fact, I think if Germany is like any other country the laws in question are intended to stop sale and use of improperly designed devices which cause large scale interference, like bad washing machine or vacuum cleaner motors who somehow jam TV signals for half the street. Really is a ridiculous thing to worry about. You break worse laws everyday.

In some cities in England , rape and murder are far down the list of concerns. Probably your unshielded pc is off the radar, but your facebook posts may not be.
(Sorry, couldn’t resist)

don't worry, the party that's just spent ten years sacking tens of thousands of policemen just promised to hire some more. I'm sure they're totally trustworthy on that and everything will be fine.

Well... I bought mine from them and have received it.
