Hi all

Has anyone got links to DIGITAL-VIDEO panel mounts you used in your a600? I bought a couple but neither fit and I was wondering what others used. I have removed the ef modular so have some space inside the machine

I used hot glue and it holds fine.

I used the following:

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2147872

I screwed into it from underneath the motherboard using the existing holes originally used by the RF modulator. Drilled a couple of small pilot holes into the mount and used small screws used for plastics.

I got it 3D printed for me (it was a real nice job) and used that same DIGITAL-VIDEO joiner pictured. Had to get an DIGITAL-VIDEO cable with really small ends in order for it to fit. It's very tight in there with those surface mounted capacitors just behind the mount.

Thanks for the response. Where did you pick up the cable?

@Sean SK

Ah yeah I made that design, It was a quick and dirty 3D print, yes I agree the fitting with SMD capacitors is a bit tight. FWIW, the capacitors that get in the way are not needed anymore, they're related to the RF modulator circuitry. When I recapped my A600, I just didn't populate them.

First off, thanks a bunch Roy for that design, I really like it. For me, it was the best out of a few that I had considered. I had a couple of them printed at Shapeways and they came up really nice as I mentioned before.

Thanks for the heads up on those caps. Yeah I suspected they probably weren't needed anymore but wasn't a 100 percent sure so I was a bit gutless in removing them just in case. :D

Hey mate. I basically got this one:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ThinWire-Aluminium-DIGITAL-VIDEO-Cable-1m/142955398330?hash=item2148ce44ba:g:q8kAAOSwdOxd-oEA

But I think I got a 50cm length.

I fitted it with the 3D print bracket and hot glue instead of a screw it works 👍
