Hi,

Like an absolute tit, I have broken several of the pins on my Vampire.

Is there anyone on here who could repair such a thing and how much is it likely to cost please.

Thanks

Jamie

I have the pins required. I can repair your Vampire Card for free, just pay the postage to and from Canada.

I can use the repair to make a Video for my YouTube Channel, Amiga Retro Adventures :)

This sounds like it could be a good arrangement.  Need to look into how much postage each way would be.  Will get back to you as soon a I can.

Thank you

If I do go with this please make sure when you post if back you fill out the customer declaration correctly.  I bought it from someone in America and I got stung for £70 on customs when it was sent to me :(

It shouldn't be difficult, you can do it locally, since your repair does not require any diagnosis or chip replacement, I think anyone with average soldering skills can do it.

Jamie,

No worries. I have shipped many items before, so I am aware of the procedures

If still needed, I could also do it for just postage fee. I live in Germany. You should be safe in Europe until end of the year in terms of additional costs by customs.

Speaking of Vamp repairs, I have a V600 II that suddenly just wont work. (it was working fine, then one day I turned on the A600 and the image would be just grey. The LEDs on the Vamp are on and the A600 works fine without the Vamp inserted.
Any tips for what to check? I could of course try to reflash the FPGA but it makes little sense that it would just die from one day to another without any apparent changes to anything.. Any theories?
