I did some tests with this core - the results are different from the core with the improved ChipRAM settings.(Gold 2.12RC3 r7258x12) I tested games that are either very hardware hungry or work with some tricks.

TestConfig: A1200 with Kick 3.1.4 in Flash, WHD 18.5 and last available install - manly with "Cache" activated to gain maximum performance. I did not test ExChip because it is useless for this kind of games (lack of speed). Some games show me an error message which I uploaded @a1k.

Robinson Requiem AGA runs with cache - until you go into the water - then the game freezes immediately. The game is basically tricky, it doesn't run on any of my 060 Configs - so it's a better result for me than in the past. ;)

Tornada AGA - InGame demo mode "Drone. It doesn't work with "cache" activiated. (no probs with the old core). "NonCache" works - but very slow. Error message see screenshot.

Alien Breed 3D 2 - runs very fast with cache activated - all good :)

Breathless "non060" & Breathless 060 - crashes with and without cache activated as soon as you reach the game window - works with the old core (screenshot)

Star Trek AGA freezes with and without "cache" activated at the begin. (worked with the old core)

Oldtimer nonWHD - test track - running :)

Frontier WHD - does not work - with and without cache (screenshot)
Frontier without WHD using the originalHD Install - running :)

Two other questions - I have installed a Melody soundcard which extends the original clockport. But I can't save the time with the installed RTC - it is apparently not recognized. I do not know if this is a Vampire or Melody problem. Any experience in that direction?

Can I use a Compactflash on the internal IDE and on the V1200 IDE at the same time? That would be handy to switch between the cores for testings.

The Gold 2.12 final core is a great progress in terms of compatibility - all problems above are fixed. Great work - thanks for that. Only the Smoke & Mirrors from Ghostdown/Loonies shows the same GFX glitches which I mentioned already. This problem can fixed with ForceATTN.

@AMike: CF Card usage with Fat95 is not solved. It apparently does not work. Means, one cannot use an IDE drive with a 2nd one installed to use it for quick data transfer. SDCard support shall work based on above comments from someone, I will test this. But CF Fat 95 mount is not recognized so far in comparison to V500 V2+ - there it works.

That's the reason why i quoted my old posting - I talked only about the bugs I found - nevertheless that shows the positive progress of the core development. Do you mean CF Card with Fat95 formated in combination with the PCMCIA Slot? If yes - that also works here.

yeah, but only for onboard IDE.

for pepople using the Vampire IDE there has been no update as of yet, so for all those people ..... there are still a multitude of issues.

Guys, just to confirm (can't see any official confirmation)... if I'm reading correctly, the latest Gold 2.12 Final does not support Vampire IDE? Is this correct?

If so, I'll hold off for a new version that does. Thank you.

Yes, so far I guess it, it is correct. I will test again, also following issue:

However, for me the Vampire IDE works so far good to me. I had some issues with CF Cards to use it for data Exchange. I found out now, that the Vampire 1200 does not support CF Cards from Kingston anymore (4 GB), with V500 V2+ they are working with FAT95. Cards from Platinum and MemoryPartner.com (Blue ones) are compatible to use (FAT95) - Interesting.

Well, now I tested latest cores and must state, that the latest official core is the one for me now (internal IDE OnBoard of A1200 activated and PCMCIA). The CF Cards from Platinum and INDMEM.com runs with FAT95. Also HD Installs such as Ambermoon works (Vampire IDE did not) and WHDLoad as well for Ambermoon. Maybe the compatibility with more CF Brands could be improved. Rest we will see.(testing now Maproms issues).

@Stefano: Thanks for the Video and we Keep the fingers crossed!

Thank you Olaf. I will try to stay at home as much as possible. This virus is hitting very hard here.. Killing entire families.
Having something that distract from this hell is the key to go on. Amiga and Vampire are the perfect anti-viral weapons

Hi Simo, is this new Core is PCMCIA friendly and use A1200 motherboard IDE or only Vampire IDE ? Asking before upgrade as I didn't find any information in the package.

V1200-IDE is disabled. Amiga 1200-IDE and PCMCIA are in use.

When V1200-IDE comes available again, it will also be notified on changelog.
