This is only temporary solution until final version is finished. Note, you need to use motherboard IDE with it.

Thanks ,i've tried two pcmcia ethernet cards , the dlink works fine , the other a netgear hardlocks the system when the cnet driver is accessed.

It used to work fine in my a1200 and works fine in the a600 with the v2

Thanks Simo! This is very, very highly appreciated. Due to the triangular shape of my CF-IDE Adapter (plus I don't have a cable to use with it) I cant use it with the Vampire's own IDE slot so I have to use it on the A1200 motherboard's IDE, so being able to use this is awesome! Thanks again!

Thanks for the feedback Myzar. Could you give the exact Netgear model number and cnet.device version?

With the quick googling there seems to be a lot problems to get to FA411 work on the A1200. It also seems to use cnet16.device instead of cnet.device.

is there a core that runs Alien Breed 3D 2 and Breathless? if so, where can I find it? The v1200 would be the perfect amiga turbo card if the amiga 3d games would run without crashing.

I did some tests with this core - the results are different from the core with the improved ChipRAM settings.(Gold 2.12RC3 r7258x12) I tested games that are either very hardware hungry or work with some tricks.

TestConfig: A1200 with Kick 3.1.4 in Flash, WHD 18.5 and last available install - manly with "Cache" activated to gain maximum performance. I did not test ExChip because it is useless for this kind of games (lack of speed). Some games show me an error message which I uploaded @a1k.

Robinson Requiem AGA runs with cache - until you go into the water - then the game freezes immediately. The game is basically tricky, it doesn't run on any of my 060 Configs - so it's a better result for me than in the past. ;)

Tornada AGA - InGame demo mode "Drone. It doesn't work with "cache" activiated. (no probs with the old core). "NonCache" works - but very slow. Error message see screenshot.

Alien Breed 3D 2 - runs very fast with cache activated - all good :)

Breathless "non060" & Breathless 060 - crashes with and without cache activated as soon as you reach the game window - works with the old core (screenshot)

Star Trek AGA freezes with and without "cache" activated at the begin. (worked with the old core)

Oldtimer nonWHD - test track - running :)

Frontier WHD - does not work - with and without cache (screenshot)
Frontier without WHD using the originalHD Install - running :)

Two other questions - I have installed a Melody soundcard which extends the original clockport. But I can't save the time with the installed RTC - it is apparently not recognized. I do not know if this is a Vampire or Melody problem. Any experience in that direction?

Can I use a Compactflash on the internal IDE and on the V1200 IDE at the same time? That would be handy to switch between the cores for testings.

To ask more precisely - does it basically interferes the function if both connections are used? I don't care if I can't access the respective Compact Flash depending on the core. I use the same software config for both cores. I just don't want open the computer after flashing a new core.

Link to the screenshots with the mentioned error messages above. (account needed)

I've forgot one thing  - IDEFix Express seems to work only partially. After reading a few hundred megabytes I getting read errors. Without IdeFix there are no problems at all.

I'm sure Ab3d2 works on initial core. If you encounter any problems on it it's because you patched it with the turbo patch, or try to use whdload version that have the turbo patch on.
Just do a clean hard disk install from floppies of the  accelerated version. Stay away from whdload version. Breathless I tested it on the first x12 core Simo posted here. It works on whdload, with cache option enabled. Doesn't work by floppy.

Which core version? My bugreport is based on the the PCMCIA Core - GoldV1200x12_r7735. I'm pretty sure that Breathless WHD don't work with this core.

Didn't tested it with the pcmcia core.
I tested it on the other x12 core.

We have these active releases now:

GOLD2.11 r5851 (Initial release, GAYLE in core) EXTERNAL LINK
GOLD2.12RC3 r7258 (GAYLE in core) EXTERNAL LINK
GOLD2.12RC3 r7342 (No GAYLE in core) EXTERNAL LINK

At the moment, if the GAYLE is in core V1200-IDE will work, but PCMCIA or motherboard-IDE will not.
