Hi,

We work on several cards at the moment.
Of course if you work on something not 100% finished - all answers will be "best guess", or "assumptions".
As more as we answer these questions, as more we might create expectations. And if something is then delayed more people are frustrated.

We have 2 finished cards today.
V600 / V500

I can say we also work on 2 other cards at the moment.
We hope to be able to show some interesting updates in about 1 month.

Also we created a card design which was redone and is optimized for "mass production". Our expectation is to increase production numbers a lot soon.

We have also found a manufacturer to produce the a1200 connectors we need for the a1200 vampire and phoenix board so it looks like we are all set for production once board design is completed

Great news Brian, hope you got a good deal.
Sounds to me the V1200 wont quite make it in 2016 but hey, that's fine. But I wonder about the ordering procedures for the new cards. Will you be the only one selling them, will you do a "split" with Majsta or do you have other partners involved now that the boards are much more "finished from assembly line" than the V600..?

can the early adopters (pre-orders) of the A600 Vampire 2 get a headstart on this new sweets? ;)

Ok, it will not come for XMas this year as I hoped, but when it appears, this is another Xmas to me. Take this comment as a preorder.

Hi all of you guys!

I'm new here and I just finished refurbishing my A1200 which is equipped with a Blizzard 1230 IV.
I've seen what the Vampire does to the A600 and I'm blown away...
I can't wait for the A1200 version.

Any news on that one, preordering, benchmark pics, pics of it he card itself?

Any donations to help as well?

Keep up the good work guys!!! Don't let this die!!

V1200 is still on development stage I think, so, You need to wait for some officiall release. I'm more than sure We will known first when card will be ready for public look.

I was also blown away what Vampire does to an A600, so i bought one, using the A600 every day now :)
Also waiting for the V1200, like many others.
The specs of the V1200 will be higher/better then for the V500/V600 but at this point nothing official has been announced about the exact specs.

I keep reading snippets on various other forums (amiga.org, EAB) about minor developments with the V1200 but nothing on here.

Is there any new information to share, even minor things like sourcing of the connectors etc?

Will be possibile with Vampire1200 to have native AGA output via DIGITAL-VIDEO with automatic switch with RTG P96 of Vampire itself ?.
A "scandoubler/fickler fixer" AGA via DIGITAL-VIDEO. In this way It could be unuseful the Indivision MK2 IC for A1200.

  thanks for the support

We must wait until AGA will be implemented into FPGA. Then- nothing must be "switched".

Brian (kipper2k) told us the 1200 connector shortage issue was "solved" so that part of the hardware is no longer a problem.
Im *guessing* the last big thing to solve with the V1200 design is the "future proof" expansion slot. (Different than the V500 V2+ general purpose expansion).
I dont really think there are any unsolvable issues, its simply been pushed down the priority list a bit. The stuff they learn about larger scale production of the V500 V2+ will be a valuable lesson ahead of the V1200.

Can we expect the audio to be internaly mixed from the A1200 expansion edge connector and output to the RCA without extra wires?

Paula audio is not available at the edge connector and it is also not possible to send audio from the edge connector to the RCA ports. So as long as Paula is not implemented in the Vampire, some external mixing/loopback function is needed.

I'm surprised as the expansion connector have Audio LEFT (pin 147) and Audio RIGHT (pin148) inputs to be mixed with Paula, like shown on the A1200 schematic.
