If you have connected Amiga to same television, it is normal, as source is selected to digital video, and no sound through digital video, you need to connect analogue to separate source, some amplifier with speakers, or another tv.

Somekind of Audio Embedder could be a solution, but I've never tested one.

e.g. EXTERNAL LINK

Okay, after a little testing, I can say Audio Embedder seems to work as expected.

V500V2 (Gold 2.12 RC3):

Audio Embedder:

The DIGITAL-VIDEO audio input is selected from the capture card:

i bought a "Ligawo 6518730 DIGITAL-VIDEO Audio Embedder", and made some tests but didn't get working as i aspected.

It works if i use my pc as hdmi input, and audio from Vampire (A600v2), but if i put Vampire hdmi as input i get Amiga's video but no audio.

Did you Simo used some particular setting to get it works as directly embedder?

Sometimes it needed to "weak up" with power cycling, but no other issues.

On your case it may be that Embedder does not like Amiga's screen mode or it does not like that V2 signal is missing an audio (signal is more like a DVI w/o audio).

You could try to create a standard screen mode with Picasso96mode, like exact 640x480@60hz to see if it helps. If Embedder expects to have an audio on its hdmi input-signal, you probably should find out which kind of return policy your goods have.

For me, using a PC-LoudSpeaker Kit direct attached gave always the best results.
There are also very good kits which give a nice sound.
Much better sound than a Monitor or TV will give out.

Thank you Simo for the info, i'll make further test, but i'm afraid the issue is due to the audio signal missing in hdmi.
My embedder use audio input to mixup the mic if present, or overwrite the audio input with one of the different source connected. Manual (a few lines sheet) says only the embedder doesn't work without DIGITAL-VIDEO input connected, but probably it checks the audio too.
I know the PC speakers are a good alternative to an hdmi embedder, but the space on the desk it's always not enough

Maybe you can choose the Audio Input Source in the menu of your Screen. I can choose between DIGITAL-VIDEO, Display Port and Line In.
With 2.12 Core I connect the Audio Jack from my Amiga to my Screen and choose Line In, with Alpha 3 Core I choose DIGITAL-VIDEO without the Audio Jack to hear the Sound. Maybe that´s the Problem?

Christopher, none of my monitors let me chooise the audio input when selected hdmi port, that's why i bought an embedder.

It would be a useful (almost for my case ;)) option that future 2.xx releases included a "dummy" audio output via hdmi, for compatibility with embedder things
