| Hi! A friend asked me if the Atonce 286 card is compatible with Vampire 500 v2. Does anyone know the answer? Has anyone tried it? My friend is considering buying a Vampire.

| If it is this kind of board EXTERNAL LINK They take 68000 socket, effectively not making any use of Vamp possible. But why 286 in hardware, when Vamp emulates 386 in DOSBox RTG?

Sorry, I don't know this. This card is rather rare and none of us has it. So we could not test this. As mentioned you can on AMIGA emulate x86 with PC-Task or other software - and the Vamp will run this emulated PC faster than a real 286 CPU was.

| I have this card as well, unfortunately. It's was in my 1000 when I bought it used, and I don't know how to get it out of the 68K socket without damaging something.
