I subscribed to Arczi monthly donation.  I suggest each one of us do the same. If a total of 100 people donate just 20 bucks a month (think of it as a bill expense) to Arczi monthly he will make a total of 2,000 dollars a month. Think of the many games/apps he ported to the Amiga:

    Zelda series, Caveman, netsurf, etc.

Picture many more he will bring if we constantly support him. Picture how better Netsurf will be if we support him. I have been able to view youtube the way it is, gmail, I have been able to browse ghitub or whatever it is called just like my laptop and view the source codes just fine.

That is just the infancy of netsurf..imagine if we support it more, by supporting arczi..he will be able to activate java in later future, he will open up new features which means we will actually have a chrome like or firefox like browser for the Amiga 68k. The endless possibilities...well...endless.

It would be nice to see the speed at which each browser loads pages that IBrowse can render correctly.

Give it time....there is so much one person can do. Besides...it maybe faster with v4 who knows...there is a race now between software and hardware...be patient...enjoy the OTHER POSITIVE attributes of netsurf  that is more superior over ibrowse. The only thing now ibrowse hold strong over netsurf is speed ....

Do you mean javascript? Java is dead on the web. It's a major security problem and all major browsers have removed it.

The idea to compare is good.
Maybe less fading in, so one can better see the comparison
and maybe testing more popular websites like e.g. :

  EBAY
  AMAZON
  CNN.com
  slashdot.com
  theregister.co.uk
  YOUTUBE
  and of course apollo-accelerators.com

My bad, thanks. On the video I hope I got it correctly, unlike the post.

You could ask MsMad Lemon (Maddie if I got name right), would be sweet. Ibrowse has a flash plugin to test :)

It should be advertises on vampire fb group where are almost 2000 member.
If everyone donate 1 buck pro month it gives the 2000/month :)

I just wanted to know if IB was faster because it could mean that IB3 would be faster too but it's pretty moot now since the Amiga News de interview with Oliver Roberts were he said there is no guarantee that IB3 will ever happen.

Better to support those that are actively working on a compliant browser.

I suppose 3.0 is heavily dependent on current Ibrowse sales, nothing against that. Just kind a feel its OS4 users bullet, once TW is abandoned, as well as Odyssey port to OS4.

Again: Ibrowse has faster render and is more lightweight, but its kinda expected since has older HTML engine etc.

I wonder how does it compete to my fav of days
  Voyager NG!
  EXTERNAL LINK
Major changes to Voyager since Version 1.0:

  · Supports Frames as introduced by Netscape 2.x.

  · Supports Secure Socket Layer SSL encrypted
http transfers ("https:" scheme). Uses full
strength 128 bit encryption. Can use the MiamiSSL
library provided with Miami 2.1 to support SSL
    even for US citizens.

  · Uses internal image decoding routines for JPEG, GIF (non-USA
version only) and PNG. Visually incremental on-the-fly image decoding,
leaving the program operational during decode. No more hassle with
datatypes related bugs. Optimized memory usage. The routines are
optimized for speed and are very fast. Full support of
CyberGFX and Picasso 96 HiColor/TrueColor screens.

  · Supports HTML tables. Many more HTML commands
and Netscapism's are understood (including FONT SIZE and
HR WIDTH). Improved general compatibility with broken
    and nonstandard HTML code.

  · Supports versatile plugin interface for vanilla
    extensions

  · Shipped with a web search engine plugin

  · Supports T/TCP "TCP for Transactions" requests,
allowing for much faster establishment of HTTP links
to servers. This is currently supported by
Miami 2.x only. Specified in RFC 1644. As far as
we know, Voyager is the first browser on any
    platform supporting this!

  · Totally reworked preference setting. The transfer anim is
    now configurable, too.

  · Supports Shift & Click downloading of files even from
servers with broken configuration which state
that binary data is of type "text/plain" (which
happens frequently with .lha and .lzx files,
because these suffixes are missing in many
    http server example mime.types files)

  · Popup menus for links offering link specific options.

  · Added internal SMTP send capability. Also
supports mailto: forms now. Improved news
    handling.

  · Many minor enhancements, and of course
All The Popular Bugs were fixed, too.

A full list of changes is included in the archive.

That would be fairer compo :) To Voyager side!

pfff...voyagor......

here is what we should...make a kickstarter campaign...get enough money...hire competent assembly/c programmer for Amiga...

merge Chris and Artur into one SUPER BROWSER. What do I mean by that? Chris browser version have what ibrowse have..light weight, MUI, menu, ability to open multiple tab, etc, etc, etc.....but it is sooo buggy...so .......defective...unstable...etc....it just....aaaah!

Take Arti's superior version and take that engine and put the skin of Chris's interface and have a good download management system like you see in modern browsers or even what you see in iBrowse and you my friend have the "iBrowse 4.0 Professional Edition" for the Amiga 68k exclusive. If you know what I mean. Now make this browser super smart...much like the current one you see now with Arti's version...it either throws a balloon bubble telling you a new version of Netsurf is available and you click on the balloon bubble and it sends you to a link where you download the new full executable package. You download it..install it...and poof bang you get new version of the browser...OR it prompts a dialog box saying you have new version of Netsurf like you have now and simply updates the new changes and bang..bingo.

Now your Amiga's 68k browser problem is no more..it is catching up with modern platforms for better browser for the Amiga 68k platform and it behaves like a normal modern standard devices you see in 2019. This grabbing for old browsers like ibrowse or voyager becomes unnecessary and even you feel..silly grabbing for obsolete......unsupported platform.  You might even go as far as request aminet to delete these outdated browsers from the network so they disappear from human history.

I say...if we all work together..holding hand, mind and body and link like one giant network..make the best flash kickstarter campaign and get the best programmers out there...we may have better browsers even than AmigaOS 4.x or MorphOS.....they might even ask to have our browsers be ported TO THEIR PLATFORM.....

I don't mind such browser to achieve perfection by being a commercial browser (Netsurf) that comes in disc or digital download...as long as it is light years ahead of ibrowse then it is worth every dime spend buying it. We already spending on hardware, why not software?
