after spending a few days with this issue and talking to a few amiga owners it is very much looking like my vampire has developed a fault - it is one of the early ones manufactured by Majesta please is there somebody who can fix it?

It will be easier if your describe your issue briefly and provide a clear photo of your vampire card, otherwise many things could come to my mind

What do you see on rgb out?

is your cf image is correct?

have you tried accessing the early boot menu?

cleaning the contacts on both socket and cpu could also solve the problem

since yours is one of the early vampire cards, you may want to make sure if the socket will need sanding to make a better connection.

and also later cores require more power, you may also consider the capacitor mod to your card, this involves adding an extra capacitor to C6 and C3
