| Nice so you have it working with an Amiga keyboard hooked up via a Keyrah V2b! Should make the purist crowd happy.

The good thing about this is that it will make it much easier to put a V4 into an Amiga shell. But I would prefer a much smaller variant of the adapter with just the Amiga connectors. I mean, this thing is almost as big as the V4!

| There is at least one other smaller variant: EXTERNAL LINK But, this one does not work on the V4 yet, I tested it.

Stephen Jones is making a metal casing for Amiga 500 and 1200 keyboards and a keyrah. EXTERNAL LINK I personally prefer using a standardized PC keyboard with Cherry switches or buckling spring and Amiga keycaps tbh. Having the option of using an original keyboard is awesome.

| Using a standard PC keyboard is a little less 'Amiga'. One of the things i dislike about using WinUAE is having a PC keyboard instead of an Amiga one. Kipper2k has designed Amiga layout keyboards using Cherry MX switches and has spoken about doing a USB version. It's a little disappointing that the V4 doesn't include an Amiga 500 style keyboard header. If I can ever afford it I will probably go for the accelerator version (the A500 is then mostly a keyboard/mouse input interface). I would prefer to use a PC mouse though, I wonder if that will be possible at boot using the USB connectors on the V4 accelerator or if an external USB/PS2 mouse to Amiga DB9 adaptor will still be needed.

I think that's the point though of this video - use a Keyrah v2b to connect an 1200 or A600 keyboard - to the system it looks like a USB keyboard. Just gotta put it all into some sort of a case. The Keyrah is like $40-50 US. Personally I don't mind the various keyboard options... My hope is to be able to use one of the slimline Mac keyboards with a USB passthrough to a USB mouse (Mac keyboards have built in 2 port hubs, so you can link the mouse off the keyboard). Obviously it's all a question of whether the USB ports on the Vampire will support the keyboard/mouse in question. (Happy to be a guinea pig for this!)
