A2000 + A2286 + 2x Nec TFT 4:3 (15/50) + Vampire

Hi, I am currently using a stock A2000 with a A2286 bridgeboard, a VGA-Card and an amiga flickerfixer. I am driving two identical 17" Nec TFT 4:3 Monitors which are capable of 15/50 in this setup. The Image-Quality is really nice on these old TFT's especially the interlace-modes do not flicker and are really good!

How can I integrate a vampire in that setup?

Thx!

Do those old TFTs have DVI? then it's just an DIGITAL-VIDEO to DVI adapter. If you're using a gold 2.X core, anything would typically use RGB out will still go to the RGB out.

I only know of a handful of other A2000 vampire users, mine doesn't have a bridgeboard, I expect it to still work with the Vampire, but not 100% sure.

Hello, can the Vampire RTG show a 1280x1024 Screenmode? i think this is the most used Screenmode on 4:3 LCD. I found no Option to make this screenmode.

i'm running 16bit 1024x768@50hz on a 1280x1024 19" panel, and to my eyes at least, it scales fine. no fuzzies from not running at the natural panel resolution, and the icons and stuff aren't "too small"

for a higher resolution you're probably going to have to scale down the refresh rate to 30hz to stay within the ram bandwidth. to achieve this you're probably going to have to start playing in P96mode creating your own screen modes... its easy enough once you figure out you can click/drag/drop the screen modes from the different windows and copy/paste/delete by dropping the click and dragged stuff on the big icons.

but you are starting to push the limits with this mode so your mileage may vary. you should be able to create a 1280x720 "HD" mode at least

No, both NEC TFT's have only VGA Input.

I am currently not using the regular RGB Output on that machine.
The Amiga-Side routes the RGB signal through the AmigaFlickerfixer (A2320) to the Nec TFT (LCD71VM).

That means I get a tripple-Monitor-Setup with the Appolo?
That's exactly what I would not like to have. I would like OCS/ECS and AGA on one Monitor.

A2000 and A2286 do work with Vampire using OS 3.1. There are DIGITAL-VIDEO to VGA adapters, which do a decent job at a decent price, but you would currently need a monitor switch, as Amiga RGB and DIGITAL-VIDEO are being used. You can add the switch between pc vga and Amiga RGB, as you likely will be using an RTG workbench resolution and no Amiga screen in parallel.
Probably at some point in time, you can also have Amiga Screens out of the vampire DIGITAL-VIDEO. You can try the beta core, which already offers that feature but no rtg screens. But for stability, I would stick with the current core for now.
A2286 is that stable, that you can even use etherbridge. But using an Ethernet adapter attached to the vampire is preferred.
Hope that I convinced you... ;)
Vampire really adds up to the experience.
