Hi,
Former Amiga user and future Vampire v4 owner.
Will be possible to use a USB  mouse and keyboard trough a USB hub on a v4?
I am planning to connect it to a USB switch and be able to reuse my desktop setup with the vampire.
Thanks! Awesome project!

If I remeber correctly, I am sure it was mentioned a while back that it will be possible to use a USB hub with the USB port on the Vampire V4.

(Also as a side note, this is my first post using my Amiga with a V2 ;))

yes i'm sure it will... at the very least i'd imagine it to have an OS level Poseidon hardware device driver, so all the current USB classes that amiga supports will work. hub class, HID class, storage class, audio, networking etc.

i think to my mind, the main part of the question is, at what point will the USB ports be active? for the standalone, i'd imagine preboot - to be able to use a keyboard/mouse at early startup would be pretty high on the list. in this case, how much USB ability do we need at this firmware level? your USB Hub question maybe more pertinent then.

(and gratz on first vampire post! :)

Having CD,USB and critical WB elements in 1MB+ ROM would be great thing. Since AmigaOS is small (compared to today OSs) more then just a CLI could be avail pre-boot. Sadly "Amiga curse" prevents exploiting these, but surely better then CD32 and KS 3.1.4 ROMs could be done.
